What is Luminary: Quantum Rising?
Luminary: Quantum Rising is a Young Adult Sci-Fi Adventure novel that follows a young warrior from the planet Stonit named Jason.
Jason comes to modern-day Earth to protect Humanity from malicious shape-shifters. Upon arriving to Earth, Jason is given a mysterious and powerful energy called the Quantum.
Can Jason learn how to use the Quantum before the villains threatening to doom Earth are successful in their mission?
WHAT IS THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE NOVEL?
Growing up, my mom would tell me stories about coming to the United States from South America, and working hard to establish herself in a foreign country. I became inspired, and wanted to write a story about a character who travels
to a distant world and traverses through complicated obstacles in order to survive. It was important for me to highlight the hard work immigrant families would put in, especially since it displays the sacrifices they are willing
to take to make a better life for themselves.
Alongside this inspiration, I grew up watching superhero movies, such as the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and becoming an avid reader of science fiction. Whenever a comic book or a novel would introduce me to an alien world,
I always wanted to dabble in that creativity and create my own universe of characters.
